Tim Peake as Strategic Adviser
At the recent Farnborough Air Show, Tim Peake, the Chichester-born former Army helicopter pilot and celebrated astronaut, was introduced as a strategic adviser for Axiom Space, a US-based commercial space operator. Peake expressed his excitement about this role, saying he was “delighted” about his “really exciting new role.” His responsibilities will include raising business sponsorship for the mission under the support of the UK Space Agency.

Details and Goals of the Mission
The specific crew members for the mission have yet to be revealed, but the UK Space Agency and Axiom Space’s collaboration aims to boost business sponsorship and public interest in the space sector. “This mission will have four UK astronauts on it, but it’s not just about those four individuals. It’s about the entire nation.” He added that the mission would benefit “the entire world and the industry.”
